Welcome
Welcome to the web site of the Presbytery of the North East and the Northern Isles. This new Presbytery was formed on 1 January 2023 with the union of the Presbyteries of Aberdeen and Shetland, Buchan, Gordon, Kincardine and Deeside, Moray, and Orkney. Ranging from island, coastal, rural to urban settings, this is a diverse Presbytery united by our faith and mission to serve Christ in our communities.
We comprise around 120 congregations. Whether you are looking for information about your local church, want to find out about events taking place within the Presbytery, or you are a member of Presbytery seeking resources, this site should be a helpful source of information. You can also contact us directly at any time and we will be glad to assist you.
Next Meeting of Presbytery
The next meeting of the Presbytery for Ordinary Business is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday 23 April 2024. This will be a hybrid meeting using the Zoom client. Members of Presbytery will be sent the registration link. The meeting will be streamed online to the Presbytery Facebook page which is publicly accessible.
