Mission Officer back in Post, Yay!

Dear Presbyters,

I am over the moon to be able to share that, after an extended period away due to illness, I am now back in post! While I did endeavour to look in from time to time on what was happening all over the presbytery, I was soon to discover that there is a lot I didn't know about. I am now busily reading through papers and legislation from the General Assembly, meeting with staff and committee conveners and others to get up to speed.

What has struck me is the incredible amount of work going on supporting, equipping and building ministry from Shetland down to West Mearns. That is fantastic! As you will know, the message from the General Assembly this year is to work to make mission part of everything we do in our congregations and in the communities we serve. If you haven't had the chance to view the short video, "Vivid Vision", please have a look.

Please also know that I am here to serve and support you as a mission resource to all congregations. If you have a question, want to discuss an idea, talk about submitting a Seeds for Growth grant application, have me come speak with your kirk session or anything mission related, please don't hesitate to call me.
