New Staff Member to Support Congregations

The Presbytery of the North East and the Northern Isles is happy to welcome a new staff member. Natasha Hepburn has joined us as a Congregational Support Officer.

In this role, she will be providing practical support and guidance to our congregations. This includes helping them meet their statutory obligations, advising on best practices, and delivering training for office bearers. She will work closely with the national church and Presbytery staff to ensure that congregations have the resources they need to thrive. Her responsibilities span data protection compliance, financial management, health and safety oversight, record keeping, safeguarding support, and facilitating training and education. Additionally, she is here to provide guidance and resources to foster lifelong Christian learning.

Natasha is based in Arbuthnott and attends church in Inverbervie. With over 15 years of experience in various roles within the Church of Scotland and community service, she has had the pleasure of balancing family life with active involvement in her church community. Her experience includes being a Presbytery Safeguarding Trainer, Congregational Treasurer, and Session Clerk, among other roles. As a newly appointed Congregational Support Officer, she is deeply committed to supporting congregations and ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to flourish.

Natasha says, “I’m truly excited to start this new chapter and work alongside our congregations to support their missions. My goal is to be a helpful resource and provide the support needed to help our congregations succeed and grow.”
