Did you know that OSCR generates charity logos for each charity under its remit? You can access your own congregation's charity logo through the OSCR website. It's a great way of ensuring that the public knows that you are on the Scottish Charity Register.
The Presbytery is a Scottish Charity and all voting members of Presbytery are deemed to be trustees. This includes ministers (in parish, in chaplaincy, in retirement), deacons, commissioned and balancing elders.
As you will probably be aware, OSCR now requires personal information about trustees to be submitted with a charity's annual return.
We have been in the process of gathering that information over the last few months. James has picked up the baton from Patricia and is in the process of contacting those trustees who have yet to complete the trustee form.
We appreciate that you will have already submitted the information for your congregation. However, we don't have access to that! We need you to fill in the form for the Presbytery.
If you are in retirement and you would prefer not to be a trustee, you can become a corresponding member of Presbytery.
If you are a voting member of Presbytery, it is mandatory for us to submit this information to OSCR.
Please can you double check you have sent the necessary information to the Presbytery Office and, if not, please can you complete your form asap.
